§ 10-111. Definitions.

  • Inferior signal quality: A problem concerning picture or sound quality other than a service interruption.

    Normal business hours: Monday through Friday 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., and Saturdays 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., excluding holidays.

    Normal operating conditions: Those service conditions which are within the control of the company, including but not limited to special promotions, pay-per-view events, rate increases, regular peak or seasonal demand periods and maintenance or upgrade of the cable system. Those conditions which are not within the control of the company include, but are not limited to, power or telephone network outages, natural disasters, civil disturbances, severe or unusual weather conditions, and major upgrades increasing channel capacity or capability (i.e. electronic or fiber optic upgrades).

    Service interruption: The loss of picture or sound on one or more cable channels.

    System outage: Any service interruption affecting at least ten (10) percent of the subscribers of the local system.
