§ 23-33. Terms.

The terms of the members of the parks and recreation commission shall be staggered so that subsequent appointments shall not all recur at the same time. The term of office for appointments to the commission commencing June 1, 2011, shall be as follows: three (3) appointments to terms of one (1) year; three (3) appointments to terms of two (2) years; and three (3) appointments to terms of three (3) years. All subsequent appointments shall be for a term of three (3) years, except when an appointment is made to fill a vacancy, in which case the term of the member shall be for the duration of the unexpired term. Members shall be eligible for re-appointment to succeeding term.
