§ 16-4. Separation of brush, leaves, yard waste and other compostables or recyclables.

(a)

No person shall dispose of leaves, yard waste, compostables, or designated recyclables, nor arrange for the disposal of the same or cause the same, to be disposed of in any manner inconsistent with this ordinance.

(b)

All persons who gather leaves, yard waste, compostables or designated recyclables, shall source separate the items and place them for collection at the times and in the manner heretofore or hereafter specified by this ordinance or the director of public service.

(c)

Nothing herein shall prevent any person from gathering leaves for compost, mulch or other gardening purposes.

(d)

The city, or any other person collecting solid waste generated within the City Limits, may refuse to collect solid waste from any person who has failed to source separate designated recyclables or compostables.
